Riding in the Ashdown Forest

There is no better way to appreciate the spectacular Ashdown Forest than from the back of a horse.

With over 6,500 acres in the Ashdown Forest, you could ride all day. The riding is extensive and varied, providing excellent off road hacking.

Whatever the season, from the green of spring, to the purple hues of the flowering heather in late summer, and the red and gold in Autumn, the forest is a beautiful place to ride.

A permit to ride on the Forest is necessary, and can be obtained from the Conservators of the Ashdown Forest. Visit their website, www.ashdownforest.org, for more details and to download an application form.
